Since first airing on July 1, 1987, Sports Radio 660 WFan has set the standard for sports talk radio in America, with every city attempting to copy the success of WFans' 24 hour sports talk format.

The two biggest factors for WFan's success over it's first 20 years were both the "Imus in the Morning" with Don Imus and the "Mike & the Mad Dog" program with Mike Francesa And Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo.

WFan currently is the flagship station for NY Met's Baseball, NJ Devils Hockey, NJ Nets Basketball and NY Giant Football.

WFans' current weekday schedule is:

2am - 6am Tony Paige
6am - 10am Boomer & Carton
10am - 1pm Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts
1pm - 6:30pm Mike Francesa
6:30pm -10:30pm Typically a sporting event, which is not streamed. If you listen to the station online you will here a "best of" program, usually of Boomer and Carton, or Mike Francesa from earlier in that day. The most current schedule can be found on WFan.com
10:30pm - 2am Steve Somers

The winner of WFans 2nd annual "Fantasy Phenom" contest is John Jastremski. John can be heard from 1-3am on Saturday mornings until he is replaced by next years winner in September of 2012.
